Started with four and now down to two.

Whoever said they can't fly was a "bleep" ing liar!

I'm so annoyed.

Cougar bait!

Nice!
Kitten and bullfrog bait when they're still chicks. There aren't too many carnivores out there that CAN'T get them in their mouths at some stage.

Dollyndrew,
Obviously whoever you wrote/said they don't fly never flushed them hunting. They're not duck-goose or even dove distance fliers, but I've seen them hit 20 feet up and make a full 20-25 yard arc with it. I think they're faster to the air than chickens, and they seem slightly more coordinated with it.

Sorry you got lied to, man.

could always clip the flight feathers.
I was mulling over getting quail since chickens aren't allowed in the city but hubby hates birds...Still mulling it over....

I raised quail in my apartment for a while. I ate quail eggs and meat til I was stuffed, it was fun. but eventualy I gave up as it was very messy. I sold all my quail and equipment to a guy who lives in a townhouse, he has them in his basement and he loves it. so it can be done in a city even in apartments if one can put up with the mess.
