my wife came home from work telling me what a co-worker mentioned.
I checked past posts and found this link.

No need to worry about major solar flares yet. I'll let you know.

A good time to invest in spf3000 if you live on the NK penninsula.
Oh November 17, how I fear thee...

I don't think this is anything to worry about.
A quick check on Spaceweather.com indicates a 5% chance of a severe geomagnetic storm at high latitudes.

NR Can also monitors for these type of things: http://www.spaceweather.gc.ca/index-eng.php

I check daily, and there have been a few CME alerts which didn't pan out, but it doesn't hurt to be aware 🙂

Another solar flare happened yesterday. This one directed towards earth. Any of the experts out there concerned? Should I put some of my electronics in my faraday box?

There is little to no concern for electronics from the type of EMP caused by a solar event.
The biggest concern is to the electrical grid.
Currently, we are under a G3 watch, which can mean the following:
Power systems: voltage corrections may be required, false alarms triggered on some protection devices.

Spacecraft operations: surface charging may occur on satellite components, drag may increase on low-Earth-orbit satellites, and corrections may be needed for orientation problems.

Other systems: intermittent satellite navigation and low-frequency radio navigation problems may occur, HF radio may be intermittent, and aurora has been seen as low as Illinois and Oregon (typically 50° geomagnetic lat.)

There has been some scientific speculation that the G1 disturbance we are currently experiencing (did you notice it?) could combine with the incoming CME and create a G4 event, which could mean these consequences:

Power systems: possible widespread voltage control problems and some protective systems will mistakenly trip out key assets from the grid.

Spacecraft operations: may experience surface charging and tracking problems, corrections may be needed for orientation problems.

Other systems: induced pipeline currents affect preventive measures, HF radio propagation sporadic, satellite navigation degraded for hours, low-frequency radio navigation disrupted, and aurora has been seen as low as Alabama and northern California (typically 45° geomagnetic lat.)

Electronics connected to the power grid could get damaged IF the grid experiences voltage spikes...a typical good quality surge protector should prevent this.

My advice:
1 - charge up any and all rechargeable batteries that you may have (including cell phones and other devices).
2 - test run generators
3 - verify and top off fuel supplies such as gasoline and diesel (including your car), propane, kerosene, etc.
4 - Use as little power as possible as the grid may experience issues, so don't go overloading it.
5 - Bottle up some water if you use a well.
