Don't go running for the hills yet.
But looks like there is a case of Ebola in a Toronto Hospital.
I was notified today by a friend of my wife who lives in Toronto that she was called back to work to be checked for a possible ebola exposure.
Not sure what that means , but thought I should post so people know.

Thank you for the warning. I haven't seen anything on the news yet, but I'm sure they'll keep it under wraps as long as possible to prevent any mass panic. Brb, off to top up my groceries. 😉
I will keep you all posted when I hear back from her. Hope its a routine check
Well that's...disconcerting!
I just mentioned this to my wife and we are currently figuring out if we could stay home for a few months.
Income wise, it's not a problem...we would just need to make a quick run for a few supplies such as more dry milk, some extra N-95 masks, etc.
Scary but not surprising considering it can take up to 21 days for symptoms to appear. My in laws just got back from Uganda, not west Africa but I'm not going near them for a while ! This will be world wide before you know it... If it isn't already
Looks like it's true. Or at least, suspected to be the case.
Brampton hospital treating someone who was in Nigeria, and has ebola-like symptoms.

OK...that's odd! A few minutes ago, that link didn't work. Now it does again, but redirects to an article that states "flu like symptoms" instead of "ebola like symptoms"
HMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
hoax maybe ?
I totaly buy it...ebola or flu like symptoms...it's not confirmed...but they ARE taking a look at it either way.
I have had a bad feeling ever since I saw them bring those 2 infected doctors back state side.
Anyways...going to go get a few supplies tomorrow in case we have to bug in.
ebola is not a big threat
this virus can bear cold temp, it die on air conditioner , this is not the kind of virus that can spread eassy in particular in canada
Hopefully it's just flu... Media is trigger happy right now
Great i live in brampton. Does any one know what i should look out for

Well first off wash your hand when you can. that alone will kill it.
Its mainly transferred via mucus , so keep that in mind.
I carry a pocket purell spray that does a good job.
The hospital in Brampton is also having some staff shower before going home, as a precaution.
You don't have to bug in yet, but just be aware of any sneezing in your general direction...and wash your hand often
Tonight, Summer of Survival is having a special presentation with Dr.Bones & Nurse Amy on what you can do about the Ebola threat.
They even have a Q & A session where you can ask questions and have them answer them.
It starts at 7PM...coincidentally the same time as my podcast, but forget that...listen to them instead.
