Well, watching the first real snow fall of the year outside my window, I got a bit nostalgic and thought of the event that caught me so off guard, that I vowed never to be vulnerable again…and my prepping journey began.
Discover Chanel documents the ice storm that hit eastern Canada in January of 1998. Hundreds of thousands of people were left without power, many for days or weeks as several inches of freezing rain covered trees and toppled power transmission lines.
