When the WHO declared the global pandemic, I knew right away that things were going to get ugly. As of March 13th 2020, I have decided that my family needs to go into a bug in situation. This was always the plan, the proverbial trigger has been pulled! Here is a daily update on what we face.
Day 27 –
Well I now know that my home weather station works as it should…we got snow. Hopefully this is just a day or two setback. In any case, outdoor projects are off the list for today, and maybe for a few days to come. Time to look to the future by working o some business projects that can be launched once this is all over.
It’s also looking like we’ll be doing another supply run to boost some weak spots in the food storage. Not that we are lacking anything right now, but this thing looks like it could go on for a bit longer than anticipated, so we are boosting some things beyond the normal 6 month mark. We’ll for sure be looking hard at our plans and learning some lessons from this.
The seedlings aren’t doing so well either. Most are going stringy, meaning they are growing way too tall way too fast. I will keep an eye on them for a few days yet, but it is likely that a lot will have to be replanted and the grow lights adjusted.
More news tomorrow…
