I am late to this conversation as I knew to the site. I live in Medicine Hat and saw the bottled water situation as a sign of why we need to be prepared, you do not want to go out in the panicked frenzy if you can avoid it. I have some water stored,ways to boil and some chlorine bleach. The other thing I do whenever I hear they may be shutting off the water is fill by bathtub. I do this not for drinking but so I can flush the toilet and not use bottled water for washing up. Who wants be in a house with out that ability. I have always done this even before I heard of prepping.
