Today I initiated a meetup for just a meet and greet for anyone interested and an hour long hike. We ended up under an hour due to a time commitment by one of the attendee's. I found it to be an excellent forum to get to know people and try out some gear. The weather was cool (4degrees) which made it even better for testing layers. The three of us who showed up have agree'd on future hikes and possible camping? Hope so. We each learned a little something from the other today I suspect and that is also part of the idea.
So... if anyone wants to initiate a meet and greet hike or even camping.. here is the place to do so.
Cheers

Im an avid traditional archery enthusiast. I have been competing in the SCA for a bit and managed to achieve my "Master Bowman" ranking through them. If anyone here is interested, this is an area I can introduce you to. Let me know if you would like to join me in a group effort at the archery center where I can guide you through the basics and teach a trick or two in the process so you too can learn how to use the oldest long range weapon ever made. Armies were decimated because of this weapon.
Let me know.
cheers

Is anyone planning on any winter hunting/camping trips this winter in the Calgary area? Im looking to venture out into this area with some experienced types. I know a fair bit on it already and would not be an anchor. I'm wanting to test my equipment but should it fail I would want to crawl into someones big old heated tent is they have one. 😀 No snuggling unless I'm dying. 😆 Safety in numbers and all that.
