I found a nice little solar light to use in my home in a spot not great for a plug in lamp. The window it's under faces north, but it seems to get enough light. I have the clear one, but am planning to get one each of the frosted and emergency ones. They are at Lee Valley. I tried to add a pic with no luck. They are 5" round and inflate to 1"-4 " tall. And cost $13-$25
Zana, thanks for the info, will have a look.
I've bought a lot of solar lights over the years. This one is around $10, provides useful light and has stood the test of time.

Perfesser, did you buy it at ikea canada ? as I can not find it for sale online there
Yes Goldie those are them!
I bought it on a whim quite a few years ago in Canada but the thing is still working fine. Perhaps search amazon or ebay. Of course batteries can be replaced.
This one looks almost the same - not exactly

I only post about the stuff that has lasted a few years - I've bought a lot that end up in the garbage after a short time. Unfortunately the stuff I've torture tested isn't always available anymore.
Home Depot had some solar spotlights with a remote panel. They were great and I'm still using some with the charging panel outside and the lights indoors.
They have these that look much the same but not exactly. Can't say whether they'll be as good or not.
