Westend edge of Edmonton right now, from the country 16+ yrs, been in the city for almost 3 because of family health- Can't wait to get out of here and back to the country! Would love to get off grid as possible and raise some more small livestock again.

Hmmm, maybe I should rethink the quiet part...
In red deer but have acerage east of Stettler. Tried a few times to get something going in red deer with minimal results. Akways up for a meet at Timmies, ANY Timmies I know them all. We have starting canning and dehydrating and actuallt enjoy it. In the summer I make biodiesel (we have 3 vw diesels). Started gardening a few years ago, currently kill as much as I grow, except for rasberries and rhubarb apparently you can't kill them. Mainly concerned about debt crises and electrical grid in future. Wife abd I are early fifties.
I'm 45 minutes due west of Red Deer. Would be great to get out for a weekend over the summer, maybe get together at a harvest somewhere or do some canning at someone's place.

maybe try a coffee meeting for the edmonton area? It has been tried several times but never seems to gain traction.
