And this is why we prep....

This is the stuff that scares people into the prepairdness life style. Blows me away.
I particularly love this statement: "Such accidents could jeopardize important research on bioterror and infectious diseases, said Amesh Adalja, an infectious diseases doctor and biosecurity expert at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center." Yeah, that was the first concern that came to my mind (shakes head). I mean, yes this is important, but if accidents like this keep happening, then we'll be doing the bio-terrorists' work for them.
One of our customers who flew from Texas to Winnipeg just to buy a helicopter got pissed at me for asking him a simple question.....(to the point he had a temper tantrum and threatened not to buy a bird from us). You see, while he was checking out my work, I asked him what he used to do for a living(as he was obviously retired and I often wonder how folks get enough cash to afford one of our toys). His remark was that he spent 25 years in the US Army making Biological weapons, but only for self defense purposes.
So I asked him " How do you use a biological weapon only for self defense"? It is an offensive weapon only ....yes? Seems he has been telling that story for 25 years and never figured that one out before.... 😯
We humans often justify our continued actions by convincing ourselves it is okay due to some conjured excuse like "If I don't do it, somebody else will anyways". It is upon this premiss that most of us claim we don't accept religion. The majority of us today justify that there is no logical proof of a god, but this is mainly because we find we can't live within the moral restrictions set by most religions. Since even the theory of evolution had to start with something living to evolve from, there is abundant proof that a god likely exists as we humans still can't even reproduce even the simplest living cell yet. We just don't accept that!
