We are a small family of four at the moment, we plan on having at LEAST 6 kids in total for a family of 8. I prep for "ZOMBIE" by which I mean is not really zombies like in the movie's but as I consider the term; a net that covers the many bad situations that could happen to affect our lives in a very negative way. Such events included but not limited to; NBC warfare, WW3, hyper inflation, collapse of the government, widespread civil unrest, grand depression, collapse of the dollar, pandemic's, global warming and super flooding and drought, global cooling and ice age, super cool winters -40C plus, asteroids, solar flares, gamma-ray burst, EMP's both space and man-made, policed state invasion, ect. I believe man kind is clueless, dumb and mostly unaware of the evils that can fall upon us and that we as a group can not change unless something very devastating happens to force us too. We are probably the only animals that can see far into the future yet do nothing to change a direct course to disaster. We are greedy and brutal. But within that group is ours; preppers! The wise and aware, people that believe even though these remote situations may or may not happen, are intelligent enough to want to have some kind of preparation in place to help us survive when many others will not.
I have always prepared in some way or another, even as a kid I spent a lot of time in the bush and that continues to this day. I continue to get as much knowledge as possible about how people used to live before electrical power and machinery and what tools were a must to have. And always try to get closer to that ideal before SHTF, I don't really know what else to say and don't wanna put to much out about myself and my family. It's nice to have friends that believe the same things you do and the advise here is great; I will do what I can to add comments as well.
