Anyone has a source or link for indoor solar products? I have been trying to find any small appliances or lamps that are solar powered. Mind you I have no clue if anything like that is made.

LED lights yes as they draw a tiny amount of power. Appliances are a different matter, they'll use a lot of juice.
You can run some for a short time with a battery pack. I think they're a very good idea.
I have one pack I got from CT, battery boost for your car, 120v receptacle, air compressor all in one small package. Highly recommended as part of your car kit, portable enough you can bring it indoors if needed. I use it at the cottage to power a CFL light bulb over the dinner table.

This is part of my post from a thread called "indoor lighting".

I have a number of these sets. Some outdoors, some with just the panel outdoors. One lights my keyboard (the other 2 are outside) and has for the last couple of years without a battery change. When it gets dark, it comes on.
One of the very best kits I've seen. Even if you use them outdoors only they're a nice accent light and you can bring the spots indoors if needed on their 20 ft cord, place the panel accordingly.

These from Ikea $20, surprising amount of light.

These from Costco - been using them as under cabinet lights for a couple of months. They have a remote switch that controls them, all battery powered. You can't really leave them on all the time so learn to turn them off.

I have a couple of LED lanterns as well, they're up at the cottage and I can't remember who makes them but they're dual setting, 6 or 9 LED, a hand crank or 12v charge. Camping gear stores.
Good area light.
