I've wondered about circulating water in a potable storage tank (say, 2200l/600gal), passing it through UV light and a filter, to keep a large(ish), sparingly-used fresh water tank potable. I was thinking that such a setup might be a good use of excess power shunted from a charge controller, once the battery pack is full, but really have no idea how much electricity it takes to scrub & pump such a tank for, say, a year.
Not really looking for technical/mathematical answers, unless that's your thing, just kinda spit-balling.
