Does anyone know where to find info or even a short course on emergency dentistry?
I have found emergency combat medic courses but nothing so far that relates to pulling teeth dealing and/or dealing with tooth/mouth infections etc.
Anyone living in a remote area for a long period has no doubt run into this issue.
Any info or feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks

There is a good book available..."Where there is no dentist"... the is also one "where there is no doctor"... both worth having and looking at so you know what to get in the way of basic tools. If possible keep up to date so you have a LOT fewer problems down the road.
Cheers

Every body should be aware of Dental care. Most of us learned to brush our teeth when we were children. We have stuck with the same brushing technique into adulthood. Unfortunately, many of us learned how to brush the wrong way. And even if we learned the right way, we might not always stick to it. Brushing correctly is tricky. You want to remove plaque without brushing too hard and damaging your gums. There are different ways to brush correctly. See our animated instructions for some ideas. Your dentist or dental hygienist can show you the method that might be best for you. 😛

The stated books - Where There is No Doctor and Where There is No Dentist - along with a couple of others, can be downloaded in .pdf from http://hesperian.org/books-and-resources/ for free.

I wasn't sure if this was common knowledge or not.
