Just found out the US company Hardened Structures is setting up shop in Canada.

There is a growing number of towns, cities, and townships in Ontario that will not allow any type of hardened structure added to the home. That includes CCTV, driveway gates, door frames, exterior alarms, etc.

Please do not ask how I know! The official reason is that it might slow down fire and ambulance responders, when they really mean LEO's. This is a result of raids on biker gangs.

Check your bylaws for the rules and fines. You might be surprised.
