The voting ritual of the American species goes on again today, Can you believe four years have gone by? Were you entertained ? Will the series be renewed ? Does it mater?
I found the theatrical values quite entertaining, lots of plot twists and character changes, so many character changes. The choice for Americans isnt left or right, up or down, front or back, ( funny that it can only be one or the other) its do you want to be entertained by the monkey with Orange hair or the one with little hair (I say that as a balding guy). You only really get choice at the ice cream store, 30 flavours, but no choice at the political level, unless you consider colour a great choice (red, blue ).
For the owners of America, who wins does not mater in the least, the beat goes on, and on...If voting was important you would not be allowed to do it.
So the meat sacks will sit back this evening thinking they are watching Democracy in action, not having a clue that they long ago lost it, or even what the word means or could mean. I want to be entertained, I think only Trump (praise be upon him) can give me the entertaining production values I have become used to these last 4 years.
The meat sacks are infecting each other with corona-virus using enthusiasm usually reserved for transmitting venereal disease and are right at the point of shooting each other in the streets, I have never had such hope before...stay the course, full steam ahead I say, but lets disengage from them in everyway we can, no reason why we cant firewall ourselves from the train wreck. We just need the will to do so. Will and leadership.

Well I think I can call this one, New York hasnt reported in but with something like 29 or 30 electoral seats I think I can say with confidence that Trump wont win in New York. It looks like we are back to lower production values, less animated performances. It was entertaining while it lasted.

No. looks like I was wrong, the mad king is pulling ahead, not in New York but in the heavy electoral college states. Looks like Americans are in for good production values again.

I can’t believe I have to say this as an election outcome in a G7 country, but... I pray for peace over the next few weeks during what will seem to be a transition of power.

Seriously, when will we ever get such good entertainment values again. Below is the same nut job with the president himself. This one has me in stitches, I almost feel like I am watching a Saturday Night comedy skit.

Ok, I still stand by my statement, but modify it to suit the occasion.

“I pray - with intelligence and without sounding like an absolute tool - for peace...”

Hp, peace is certain,.. this time. Oh his fair weather, selfie taking, cosplay milita, patriot, biker army is ready (or thinks they are), but they need the "word" to rise, and that requires a leader who is fully, all in, not out golfing, "All in" regardless of the consequences....and thats not "Mr Bone Spurs".....He is no Sulla, more a Nero...at home on the stage.

keeping politics out of this and focusing on outcomes or effects of mass protests only.

if President Trump does indeed win by a proper count then one can expect mass hysteria, protests, serious and i mean serious or in some cases catastrophic looting and murder.

at a certain point the city urchins will hit a wall when they go past the concrete jungle and hit real suburbia/ not gentrified bohemian cute cafes but actual working America.

with or without insurrection act being used, things will be overall ugly. Covid is still increasing and mass protests will only increase the count. Then we have food.... distribution issues bot in and around ANY city of small to large size. If one thought stocking up on food items was a big thing before, this will make that look like a pleasant 1800 new england church event.

Now, while people look to the US and make their snide remarks or wish certain sides well, we in Canada will if covid cases worsen will see increase Debt at every level, personal, town, city, province and of course federal which then trickles back down to the people in the form of you guessed it taxes. Not sure when they will raise the issue of making people pay back for the obvious, but it will one fine day be raised and i dont think the middle class will be to enthralled and may just start joing in some of the prtoests from the usual suspects.

Canada due to our lousy weather will not see any real protests during the winter but come April... things could see some angry folks hit the streets. Stores are already closing up and while Peppercorn and others may see some new shops opening, the truth is, people and businesses are and will increasingly be hurt. Savings, loans.. are being used to carry many people through but that has a limit. If and it will be in the spring, businesses are increasingly folding and most certainly not hiring little johnny and Jane as summer students, the gov is tapped out and so are mom and dad, little johnny and Jane will be a tad upset with the "system" and very likely take to the streets ( when warm of course because one wouldnt want to be cold while out protesting)

How ugly will the Canadian citizens who have lost thier job, are behind in car , home, apartment payments, do not see any improvement at all, have lost their life's savings etc get, is open to debate but if faced with a similar situation as the depression of the 30's, it could look like the Winnipeg riots, a post hockey game or 1% riot but on steroids. https://www.thoughtco.com/winnipeg-general-strike-1919-510002

A Covid economy in the spring will if things continue be much different then they are today. Here in Ottawa or Toronto egion the restaurants and other businesses are on a thin edge. The minute they shut them fully down will be a disaster. Then there is the retail sector and Christmas revenues. I am guessing the governments are rubbing every rabbits foot they have in the hope they can make it into the new year without going into the spring shutdown of 2020. If they cant then you watch the fear on peoples faces come January and February.

Domestic Strikes from union and maybe even non union folks, continued absence of parts, the very likely shortage of food from stockpiling and possible impact on deliveries from the US, possible tariffs.... could all come together and make for some interesting times up here. The radicals will wish to jump on any real or perceived bandwagon in the south on unfair treatment and the BLM, 1%...type cause/es will be further explored and utilized up here.

will it result in a non confidence vote? if so, what would a supposed conservative majority do to turn it around? there will be NOOOOOO magic wand, no miracles of jimmy and tammy fay scale. What will happen in Alberta or Saskatchewan with oil fiasco? Will we see native reserves want to make a stand and shut down rail transport again, will we see issues with fishing out in Nova Scotia or BC? What about a Quebec looking to say chuck our taxes owing to Canada and the beleif they can walk away from their share of the bag of Snit we will be holding come next summer?

all things to ponder and given what i have learnt or observed over the years, certainly possible. The optimistic among us will say we Canadians are above all this and we will get through this challenge just fine, after all " we are all in this together" That could be the case but this guy has seen to much to believe in that fairy tale scenario.

so lets not laugh to hard at the struggles our American friends are experiencing, we best focus on our little piece of the world and start asking our leaders ( alleged) what EXACTLY is the plan there boys and girls. what is the exact current debt by all levels, how exactly and when will the debt be paid off assuming that is come January its all sunshine and lollipops and isn't like this come next June or September and that peace reigned in the land and no business damaging riots occurred?

Until we hear of the great and very detailed financial plan that will restore us to pre covid employment levels and no one will feel a thing when paying down the debt, we best look real hard on what we do in the coming months to prepare for what "may be" a very ugly 2021!

PS, buy any bubbly now for new years eve party, you may not wish to be out and about in December
