Hi..
My 1st post here.. I'm kind of new to prepping, but realized I need to be better equipped.
I'm in my late 40s, disabled 3 years now due to stress related issues. No close friends, so I know when things go wrong I have nobody to back me up except me.
The general plan in build up supplies as I can and come here for ideas and maybe some encouragement. I do have a couple things in my favor, understanding electronics and being a ham radio operator.

Hello from Sooke, BC, on Vancouver Island - just outside of Victoria.
I'm new to here and want to connect with other preppers in my area.
I joined in august last year and I am still not allowed to read posts, am I required to pay some cash to somebody?? how does this work??
northrod5 - I am not sure what you mean by your comment "I am unable to read posts" There are several sections of the board that require you to request to join separately - like the men's or ladies forums but you should be able to see everything else. Please PM me or Denob for more clarification.

Hi I'm Sue and finally got serious about prepping two years ago. We are getting there slowly and surely. Great to be a part of this forum and learn some new things.

I wanted to join the women's forum but was unable to send a PM to you for some reason.
("Ladies" forum? Really? lol)
My account went Inactive so.... Here i am again. Prepper in Central Alberta, R.D. Looking for small, treed, bare lot. For Off-Grid use. Central West Country.
Hi everyone. I am a 46yr old married male with 2 children (11 & 13). I am interested in prepping should something happen - another ice storm, power failure, or something that should disrupt the day to day lives of the millions of people living in SW Ontario - just for general preparedness.
I am an avid hunter, shooter, camper, and enjoy spending time in the outdoors (year around). I am slowly building up food stocks and have a generator and am in the process of making a water purifier. I am not a believer that one needs 20 guns and 1,000 rounds of ammo for each gun but I do have several guns for different purposes and a small ammo stock pile (I usually buy bulk when the $$ is down). I keep a small 'get home bag' in each of my cars and have all our camping equipment in totes ready at a moments notice.

Hi World,
My name is Ways. WOW, I am not alone anymore. I live in the Perth area which is just west of Ottawa, Canada. I am a husband of one and a father of three. I am a stay at home dad as part of our plan to meet the need of the future for our family. I would like to meet others from the network who live within a two hour drive of Perth. I have some very solid plans for being prepared and have started to do a lot of the setup for a working model as proof of concept and as a base for the R&D on the tech side. The human part, which is by far the most uncertain, I have worked on for many years through intentional community efforts with poor results. Giving up is not an option so I am always open to meeting, greeting and sharing with whom-so-ever is open to receive. What is reciprocated if anything is up to the individual. What if anything my R&D achieves all are welcome to it without charge. I am not sure how to open communications with individuals through the network yet.
