Been stocking up on freezer bags. I don't think these are on the soon to be announced ban list yet but who knows how long before they are, so every time I hit the store I buy some...I am now north of 1500, and that is just of one type that I use the most. By the end of this year I expect to have plastic bag security. This brings me back memories of the early 1990s when the mag limits were coming into effect and my friends and I were buying up all the full capacity mags we could get. We really hadn't thought that out, as if we had at the time we would have realized we were smarter than a roll pin.
So I am slowly expanding into canning for food storage, and I found this method interesting, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiSxDNzMwSs
Near the end she shows how to vaccum can, I had no idea that you could do this...so I am trying it. going to have to get one of those vaccum things.
8kgs of rice fits into 5 1.9l glass jars perfectly.
Have you explored dry canning? All you need are jars, lids and an oven.
Godspeed

Yes I have, that's what I have done with the rice above.

It looks like this plastic, one use plastic, ban that was being talked about is a non issue right now, even stores that had already pulled plastic bags for groceries now have them back with explicit signs saying not to bring in your own bags. I chuckle to myself.
