Hey ya I'm up for that...
Any weekend other than July 12-13 is good for me.
I am booked the last weekend of july.. and sept long weekend 🙂 but otherwise open.. at the moment

I would be up for a meet in july or august.
I'd really love to attend! It would be so nice to meet others with this same interest. This kind of lifestyle is quite hush hush for us, which makes it quite lonely. My neck of the woods too 😀
Ok, I would like to mix it up a little this year, for those that are wanting to come out, what are You wanting this get together to be like..
A visit and potluck..
Do you want a plant-seed swap like the past years
Do you want a canning swap like past years
Is there something you would like to bring and show in terms of prepper tools or topics
As for myself, this year, I think I would like more of a visiting get together personally, I was thinking that maybe we could do it a little differently, while we can do the round robin for the intro's, I was thinking we could split up into tables for certain folks talking about different subjects, is this something that interests others as well.

I like your idea about different tables being set up farmgal. I also like the idea of can swaps and seed/plant swaps if some people want to do that too, but I wouldn't want it to be mandatory and have others feel pressured. Or what about a bit of a barter "party"? It could give us all chance to get a bit of real life experience with bartering. I personally have not done much bartering and would appreciate an opportunity to try it out.
Since I have never attended before, I would like to know how long does a meet up last? Is it typically a pot luck? Where does it happen?
Thank you 🙂
I am just about to head back out to get some more work done, so will go into more details on a few things later tonight..
The Meet happens in larose forest, which is about half way between Ottawa, Montreal and Cornwall, so it covers the Eastern Area..
It has tradionally been a potluck, and I would expect that this our third year will again include a potluck lunch, folks are welcome to bring their own lunch if they are more comfortable that way and or bring for the potluck.
As for how long, both other time, we start at around 10 and end between three and four, so its pretty much a full day by the time folks add in driving time. We normally have intro's and meet-greet in the morning, with possible of something small done as well, then the lunch-visit time and then the afternoon has typically been talks, show and tell's, the canning swaps, or barter tables etc.
No one is forced to be part of it, if you are not interested in that, no worries, but most folks do find some part that they are interested in.

Sounds awesome! Can't wait! 🙂
I would be up for that. Any day except July 13 would work for me. I don't have much to barter with yet, other than maybe some paracord items 🙂 My skills are pretty generic, nothing most preppers would not already be knowledgeable about, most likely (first aid, frugal cooking). I have broached the topic of emergency preparedness with some friends, and other than their foodie interest in my dehydrating/jerky experiments 🙂 nobody other than me is that into other aspects, so it would be nice to just talk with others of a similar mindset.

I need paracord items. So you are good. Now I need to think of something you could use. As far as your skills are concerned, no one has it all. We are learning all the time. For me it is more about meeting and sharing with like minded folks.
You can bring whatever you want to the barter table, be it homemade or store got, the only thing we ask is that you don't bring a number of things for sale, there are no venders and no "sale" tables, but on the barter tables, pretty much anything goes but keep it legal folks, no firearms etc
