When the WHO declared the global pandemic, I knew right away that things were going to get ugly. As of March 13th 2020, I have decided that my family needs to go into a bug in situation. This was always the plan, the proverbial trigger has been pulled! Here is a daily update on what we face.
Day 13 –
It may be a good thing that people are staying home these days. The online community is burning a very short fuse these days. With online tempers so hot these days, I would hate to see what could happen if all these people were to meet face to face in public!
On the bright side, little projects are getting done even if only for a distraction. You know, fixing that wobbly floor lamp, Tightening the screws on loose furniture, that sort of thing. Until a couple days ago, I hadn’t picked up my home toolbox in months. Now it’s getting used several times a day.
On another bright note, my indoor greenhouse was delivered today. Kudos to Canada Post for getting it to me several days ahead of schedule. Kind of surprising as Amazon is reporting delays, and I’ve heard of people getting cancellation notices because they just can’t keep up. Grocery stores are WAY behind taking as long as 11 days to deliver orders…not much help for those that have to self isolate for 14 days!
Something that has become much more difficult is separating information from intelligence, trust me, they are not synonymous! There are so many rumors going around now and in some cases, it’s costing lives such as the couple that swallowed fish tank cleaner because they thought the chloroquine in it would help prevent them from getting sick.
