Has anyone ever built their own grey water system in northern BC where the frost line is deep? 6-8 ft?

No, but I would look at insulating exit pipes in perhaps a foot of foam, angle down enough so fluids run out fast to prevent freezing on cold pipe surface. Maybe use a heat coil?

Have pipe big enough to handle a bit of ice buildup.

If drop isn’t sufficient for a fast drainage, consider having water go to interior holding tank , pump to a higher holding tank so it can then get the vertical drop needed for fast drainage?
As to how it drains into soil in the winter, guessing one will wait for spring before that happens.

That is what we have been looking into. Heated pipes for sure, since the pipe coming out of the house is about 3 ft from the surface. Will need to drop it down to get flow, but too much flow means i will have to be digging a trench about 10-15 ft deep, since the grade at the basement is the lowest point, then goes up from there. We have been looking into pumps that can take it from storage tanks inside the house (Where it can be kept from freezing), but I'm trying to avoid storage tanks if possible, inside. If i put a tank in, and have to dig deep, i might as well go with a septic system.

Maybe I missed a post.., but what about gray water going to a greenhouse?
As to storage tanks inside, there should be no real noxious fumes from grey water or debris, so it should be a big deal to pump put once a day or every three when batteries are good? If a solid tank can’t be brought into basement, what about a large bladder?

Gray water will be going into our greenhouse, so will rain, and snow run off. I'm trying to find some system where I don't have to put a large tank in the basement. Realistically, I can't see a lot of gray water with just my wife and I. We were using 9 - 2 liter bottles of water over a 4 day period for drinking and washing dishes. Showers will be the big challenge to guess. Since we are on a well, and collecting some rainwater I think any tank, game plan, will be small.
