Howdy All,
I must be way out of touch, I had to learn about the existance of Darknet from a recent Maclean's Magazine article.
Must be one or two on here who are familiar??? No hiding in the corners, I can see you.. 😉 Now back to business. With all the bots and snoops watching our site maybe we should explore the Darknet?? Any suggestions?? Any pitfalls to avoid?? Anyone familiar with TOR??
I like the theory of unharassed usage of the internet without being spyed on, tracked or monitored. I am an adult, and prefer to make my own choices - especially without government interference or taxation or rules. I believe in the rule of 3, do no harm to others and if you do it will return 3x as bad to you.
So, I digress.....
Cheers,
Mountainman.
I have mentioned Darknet a few times there is definitely potential for use by preppers but there are some potential downsides too. Anyone really interested should PM me as I do not want to discuss this in an open post just yet. I was waiting for someone to bring up the subject, thanks GCM.
Please include me in any PM discussion. I am very interested. Thanks
just another reason to have high poster, invite, friends section, google and bot free, hidden from the webverse..
me too, invite me too, and interested in the Dark as well
Okay, since I opened this can of worms.....I need to put them all back in the can.
Maybe this topic should just be left to quietly disappear.

It's a topic best left for discussion in dark back rooms or basements.

More private and more secure?
well, compared to what Google does to you, yes.
BUT
There are ways to track you no matter what you do or how you do it, so there is no real privacy on the internet.

When it comes to the internet privacy is an illusion at the best of times, but anything that provides a little more security from the prying eyes of big brother and/or his google bot minions is always a good thing.

I could be a sith lord, 😉 let me join your dark side discussions? I'd like to learn more.
I would not rely on darknet or TOR for privacy.
