I've heard about this weeks ago. 450 million rounds of hollow point. If that isn't a blatant disregard of international law and common morality then what is? I fear that those who predict a slow descent into chaos may be in for a rude awakening. When the time comes that they start using those hollowpoints in earnest, things will go downhill real quick. These are scary times with even scarier people in charge.

They have been buying up all the 223/556 ammo as well. if you look around on line even cheaper then dirt is having trouble getting it in. I watched a video on youtube and this guy went to a ron paul rally and after shook his hand and quickly asked him about the fema camps and ron told him the government was getting ready for major violence in the united states. it WILL be quick so keep your eyes open and ears to the ground! I will try to find the video and post a link.

:twisted:I`m not carzy everyone else is!

😯 sh*t! (as if there isn't already enough for people to worry about!) Do you think this is the beginning? Or is this a move by US of A to take what they want from where they want?

Wow that person really hates the TSA, scary stuff but they started to loose me with the TSA baby rapest talk. The other parts seem to have fact behind it, the TSA part just made me question the journalism aspect, dont know about anyone else but the article would have been better if they left the hatered/Bias for the TSA to them self and backed up their name calling with facts.

I don't get it. The DHS buys a huge stash of ammo, but its the "journalist" (and I use the term lightly) who is the one who concludes its for this dept. to wage a 7 year war on America.....he could have easily said 7 year war on Mexico, or Canada, or Jamaica, or the moon.....its just ramblings...how did he come to the conclusion of America? 🙂 I think it's just he preconcieved bias thats fueling a beef he has or paranoia with the gov't.....

The journalist came to the conclusion of a domestic war in the U.S. because the DHS and it's various departments are domestic agencies, unlike the military. An article I read recently quoted two anonymous, highly placed sources in the DHS as admitting that they were preparing for the possibility of a major civil war within the U.S. I don't know if there is any truth to this but it does give one food for thought. Put that together with the fact that hollow point ammunition is banned by the terms of the Geneva convention for use in international conflicts. You could understand why the journalist would come to the conclusion that the .40 caliber, hollow point rounds are for domestic use. By domestic use, I'm thinking that no one buys hollow point ammo for target practice, ball ammo is a lot less expensive.

No offense...but this is how all conspiracy "hypothesis" seem to get a foothold...the term theory doesn't give it any more credence.

I don't want to ruffle any feathers. And as a freemason maybe i've just become null to all the conspiracy "theorists" out there from seeing it over and over and over again...but I think you need more dots to connect the pieces before jumping to these conclusions. Maybe even ask the DHS directly. Nothing spoils good gossip by going directly to the source and finding out the boring old truth.

Government workers are our neighbours, our friends, and our fellow citizens. Albeit higher paid, lazier with poorer work ethics and self entitled neighbours and friends... 😆 This story seems kinda flakey to me...

announced that it is being awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement from the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS, ICE) for .40 caliber ammunition. This contract features a base of 12 months, includes four option years, and will have a maximum volume of 450 million rounds.

So they have the option of buying that many rounds, maybe not actually getting that many. I think they deliberately missed quoting that part for newsworthiness.

Yeah, this is a bit thin, specially the article. Hollow point ammunition has always been favored by law enforcement for its stopping power on soft targets and lack of contious penetration on hard structural targets therefore the hopes of minimizing collateral damage during close conflicts. Everything else the article is talking about, im not sure on. But it is true that its harder this year to acquire select ammo like 223 / 556/ 9mm / 40cal. on certain load types. Whether its people acquiring for themselves or the government buying them up, who knows. One thing for sure, if there is a lack of certain ammo in the US, we're sure to feel it here since 90% of our sporting and other applied ammunition (law enforcement) comes from the US.

Hope for the best... Prepare for the worst.

Assume they are planning for civil war. Perhaps we should be too just in case. Don't need a mob of goons knocking on my door

See you all after.
