You may be finding yourself in need of something these days. Be that garden seeds, advice on growing or storing your own food, or even information from outside your region that can help you make decisions. Tap into your network of prepper friends to trade with!

Finding yourself in need of something doesn’t have to be a problem. Let’s face it, many of us are members of various prepper related Facebook groups, forums, and other websites. This is an international pool of resources that is waiting to be tapped into!

Personally, I’ve both asked for and agreed to provide such things as seeds, advice and personal support. Whenever I’ve been asked for something, I either dispense what I can, refer to sources, or provide advice on who might be able to help. Usually, when offering, all I ask is that the favor be returned at some point in time. In the same way, when I’ve been helped by other preppers I will always do whatever I can either now, or in the future to help those that have helped me.

That’s why we have become known as the prepper community. Community need not be a group of physically close people. In fact, I have had trades with and referred people to others that are very physically distant. I’ve received hard to find seeds, I’ve referred people to others that may have what they are looking for, I’ve offered resources for hard to find items. In doing so, I’ve firmed up relationships that will endure for years to come and reinforced those that I’ve already had for years past.

This is the community you have been participating in. This is the community you have helped build. This is the community that is now coming together the way a community should. Use it, participate in it, and support it to the fullest of your ability. Make trades, ask for help, give advice about the things you’ve gone through. Point out mistakes you’ve made, offer advice to those that have stumbled. Remember, we’re all in the same boat.
