It’s that time of year again, the Home Medicine Summit is on it’s way!
I’m putting this out there even though I personally have mixed feelings about this event because someone may glean some useful information from it. Don’t get me wrong, I believe that natural medicines are a tool that should be in the tool box, but I also believe that modern medicine also belongs there.
This year there are 39 presentations over the span of 7 days starting on October 14th. I will be clear about one thing though, there is not one presenter that I have heard about before. Given that I usually get natural medical advice from a close knit group of trusted contacts, that shouldn’t be a real surprise.
What is probably my biggest issue with this summit is the time of year it is put out. By mid October, a significant number of North Americans have just finished the harvest and will simply store away this information until it can be used, at which point it will likely be forgotten about completely.
After a quick glance at the schedule, I can pick out two or three presentations I would like to hear, but I won’t be scheduling my day around it. Honestly, it’s a “nice if I catch it, but no biggie if I don’t” kind of feeling. Those of you that have been around for a while know that I have in the past pushed these summits from The Grow Network really hard. That’s because in the past, I have seen a really great lineup of interesting topics from people I actually want to hear from. This is the most “meh” summit I have seen from these people, and there is not much to get me exited, but that’s just me.
