There will be a September meeting at the Deer Run Community center at " 2223 146 Ave SE Calgary" at 1:00 pm September 28Th/13.
There will be speakers sharing there experience with having to bug out in a real life S.H.T.F. Situation, in regards to the Alberta flood of 2013..
If you want to learn from what these people did right and what they did wrong and what they have done to correct there bug out procedures this is the meeting you want to be at...
No speculation just Fact...
The speakers are seasoned preppers that made mistakes...
We will be talking about e-vac centers and what you can expect if you ever have to go to one, how you may be treated, and how the Authorities may handle you and the situation..
We will be talking about two people that show up uninvited to your train of thought and they are " Shirley" and " Assumption" and we will go over how they really screw things up,and believe me they are very good at what they do..
Also a key subject; what kind of mind set you will need when you walk/run out your front door with only minutes to spare..
This is the meeting you want to be at..
See everyone there:

Hi
I'm HOSS... do u know of any persons or groups looking to organize in the Edmonton area?
Hi Hoss, No I dont I do know some have tried but I dont think anything got any traction, you should give it a try, it takes a long time to build a group and have people to show up, set a date and a place and see who shows...We started with 6 in a parking lot and had over 30 at our last get together and most of those were new people, once folks see there is a serious agenda they will start to show up...You and justdoit should have your meet and then post what you talked about, and when your next meet will be...
Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...
Just kicking the thread back to the top and a friendly reminder about our meeting....with all our current events seems like a good thing to do on the 28th.....
Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...
Traveller.. I am going to try and get there.. Should a person bring anything??
No not at all, for yourself pen paper, water and maybe a snack...
Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...

Traveller, what are the expenses for booking the place so we can have an idea of what to contribute, if we would like to? (I will bring some food for everyone regardless) Really looking forward to this meeting. Feel it will be a good turnout. Thanks!

Just got home; by all means do so...., I do the meetings for free..if any body wants to contribute a loony or so to help with the room rental thats fine ...But by No means do I, or we expect anything ,as I said I do this to help the masses....To teach and to help folks get on there way to being prepared and not having to draw or depend on anybody or any other organization....
Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...
This will be my first visit to such a meeting. What kind of turnout is typical?
I look forward to meeting you folks!
Might is Right is the wrong thing to say but the right thing to understand.
It has grown with each meeting but we had 30 souls at the last even I believe. We were expecting a dozen but a lot of people arrived who hadn't indicated. It was lucky they were able to move us to a larger space... we had a secret weapon with us 😎
Just a reminder that our meeting is one week from today...see you there....
Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...
Anyone from Lethbridge willing to carpool there?
Will be there.
cheers
