Hi Paul, and welcome to the site.
As this was your 3rd post, you should now have access to the PM system, and your posts will no longer go to moderation.
Enjoy.
@Blacknight88 - I bug in first, then if things don't improve -> bug out.
I got a decent neighbourhood here, and would like to stick around as long as possible and help out where I can.
Hey theiss..I wish I could make that viable here where I am but the houses are 6 inches apart and the structure is like the white house. Too many places to defend. If there were ever a fire in or around this place the whole block would be gone...
I certainly don't relish the idea of bugging out but I really cant see it working here.
It is home and it would be more comfortable for the whole family to stay put. Wish I had the money to buy a chunk of land somewhere.

@Blacknight888 - I just sent you a PM. But my messages seem to get stuck in the outbox all of the time.
I tried to may grumpy bear in the last two weeks, and I saw my message also hung up there.
Let me know if you get the message.
You know you always have a BOL at my place, Blacknight!
Our only issue is forest fires and earthquakes....

Hey guys.
I just moved back to Nanaimo after over ten years on the mainland. But now that I'm back I have really opened my eyes to whAts going on, especially within our and the U.S. economy.
But my circle is not in the same place mentally. I'm hoping to meet/chat with some like minded folks.
Hey copperfun, welcome to the site..How long have you been a member?

On the financial collapse side of things...The U.S. house of reps just introduced bill 41 to the house that would in essence remove the responsibility of the Gov from bailing out Fed and State employee pensions. The reasoning of course is that the Gov can't afford to pay it's own bills.
If this actually gets passed, do you think private pensions will follow suit?
The wife and I were just discussing the prospect of the insurance institution quite possibly risking her retirement money on hedge funds and derivatives and then I read this article this morning...
If a financial collapse were to transpire, this would be an eye opener to quite a number of Baby Boomers who are retiring currently...
Could you imagine thinking you were secure in your retirement, only to wake up one morning and no cheque in the mail?

I saw a segment on sun news (pretty good news site actually) on the Ontario Pension Plan scam and they did mention that the federal pension plan was pretty well managed....and that Justin and the Liberals want to get their hands on it

I can't find the exact vid but I'm watching sun news more often.
All the financial institutions are gambling big money on derivatives and futures markets.
That's one of the biggest fears is that the banks are going to loose 300 trillion in a black swan event and the U.S. Gov has already made it law that the taxpayer is on the hook for it if it fails.
In other words..go ahead and gamble without consequence!!
