Something to keep in mind, contextually, is that Kelowna is a Hells Angel town with several support or puppet clubs near by. A long standing conflict with the UN gang out of the Lower Mainland has brought killings onto street. The wanna bees are almost more of a problem than the HAs as they are trying to get noticed. The tension n town is palpable and the police have a tendency to beat first and ask questions later
Why confiscate the rifles and bows?
Seriously?
The guy was on probation and likely had restrictions against owning weapons.
He was arrested for breaking probation!!!
This woman asks a lot of questions that show she knows little about what she is talking about.
Having grown up in the town that housed the Quebec chapter clubhouse of the hells angels, I have seen a LOT of raids!
Controlled substances, illegal magazines, and on probation...and she thinks the black powder was what got him arrested?
Edit - here is a link to the story which offers some details that were left out of the video such as the wiring had already been installed into small wooden boxes, the shotgun shells had been dismantled, and he was already on probation for explosives and weapons related issues.
Also, he was wanted and transported to Alberta for other criminal matter and has ties to the gang world.

I guess I called that right. Context is everything.
The #6 highway is a fantastic Motorcycling route , though, if you ever get the chance. That's why they hold it. The Cabot Trail, on this side of the continent, is even better.

Denob , yes she does , but what a nice lady, she seems to want to give the benefit of the doubt : ) But I was laughing because it does not add up to a nice innocent situation . I always am aware we have sectors of people like law enforcement, the lawless/gang sector and the military . Many of them much more highly organized than your average neighbourhood watch committee and more skilled with things like weapons .
Here is some context...shortly after we left that block. Bacon. No loss to the living.

I agree with Denob, I watched that twice and was still confused about what she was trying to get at. She tried to present a knowledgeable image, but clearly was reading a poorly researched article. To many questions that could have easily been answered by 5 minutes of research and using a bit of common sense. My two cents.
