Well, I guess I’ll try to find some more seeds and plant a few extra rows of root veggies. I can always can more beets and carrots...
Came across this article this morning.
Can probably support some of the local small greenhouses or those that do participate in Seedy Saturday and will do drop off or pickup? Check Seedy Saturday website for your area maybe?
Yes, I wonder if people know how many imported workers come every year to work in farm sector.

all our seedy Saturdays have been cancelled but that was a fast flip on the workers, less then 24 hours from no, to if they have a visa, yes.. good good.. here is hoping most to all will pass there 14 day screening an go from there.

What I meant was for the vendors of the Seedy Saturdays. They might still have stuff they would like to sell. Maybe a way to contact any of them to get what what you might have wanted.
Ah sorry I got you now.. yes I can see that they would be looking for online sales. One seedy Saturday by me (about 45 away) has moved it to full online event.. streaming the speaking events, offering space for the different vendors to showcase their sales and direct links to their site for seed sales.. very clever!

We garden every year and plant mostly from seed, with some exceptions.
Really, anything that is a start early plant, we get from the garden center because we have a hard time with 2 cats eating seedlings.
I've thought about in past years, and even more so this year, about getting one of those mini indoor greenhouses to protect the plants from the felines.
Does anyone have experience with them?
This is the type of thing I'm talking about...
They do work to a point, must be in a sheltered area, as they do not stand up to wind. but they have a short life span, so do not spend a great deal on them, I have never seen one make more then 3 season's max. Still in a pinch, it will get the job done..

Thanks, was thinking for indoor seed starting only...they sell for about $40-$50.
I have used that type of stand for a few years inside. I take it apart after the plants are moved outside and store it til the next year. I don't use the cover, but if you have cats, the cover should protect your plants. I have the grow lights set up on it too.
Thanks Learner, that's what I was looking at it for. I have one light I can mount at the top and maybe rotate the seed trays so that they all get some.
BTW...ordered online yesterday, should be here by March 30th. A couple days late maybe, but shouldn't be that much of an issue.

This new doomsday pandemic apocalypse must also be changing the earth’s ellipse around the sun if we now need a March 39th this year! 😀

FML...EDIT ON THE WAY.
New question...
If I order in seed potatoes, how long will they last before planting?

Long enough, I wouldn't worry about it, though I wouldn't want to order them when they could be sent while they might be exposed to freezing temps.
