The Masons have there symbols; so do the illuminati, bilderberg, and every other secret society.
We as a group, need to come up with a symbol and acronym to identify each other
in a non obvious way..
But only another Prep-per will no who you are and can walk up and identify them selves in a way so as not to be looked at like he or she is crazy....

A support system for our community is very important, and actually meeting and identifying other preppers is very important as to remind us[ you] that you are not alone....

My artisic abiitys is very limited [ stick man at best]. So I invite everyone to come up with some thing and it be adopted at this site and topic forum in the near future....

Interesting idea. I hope someone with some creativity and artistic ability will take this seriously and come up with some options.

Like yourself I couldn't draw to save myself :s

A symbol of some sort that represented Canadian Preppers would make an interesting Lapel Pin. Worn daily most people woldn't think much of it but it would help identify Preppers to one another. The only catch is that the symbol would have to remain a mystery to those not in the know. If anyone asked what it was or what it means we would just have to say "I don't know, I just thought it was cool" and no one would be none the wiser 🙂

that's exactly what i was thinking this is to identify each other but keep our society a secret from others...

My favorite graphic is the phoenix, which means 'rising from the ashes'. I will choose to lay low however and not announce myself. I proudly belong to a like minded group of people that choose to not be blind. That's good enough for me.

Most preppers have heard enough about "secret societies" such as the KOC, the Illuminati and the freemasons. Everything we've ever heard about them tells us not to trust secret societies.
Now we want to become one?
What's next, secret handshakes and sacred ceremonies? I figured that a good way to recognize other preppers was to maybe join a preppers forum. Then through discussions in the forum, you may connect with someone who you feel would be worth meeting in person. If so you can do something really radical and PM that person and arrange a face to face.
If I'm wearing a lapel pin so other preppers can recognize me and a total stranger identifies himself as a fellow prepper, what do I care. The last thing I need is to have a conversation with someone who's prepping for the aliens that are going to beam down from the planet nibiru to turn us into spirit people. I think I'd rather get in contact with someone from the forum who has already expressed the kind of views I believe in. At least that way I know I'm meeting a person I would have something in common with. For that, I don't need a secret symbol or secret handshake. Just my personal discretion.

Actually, believe it or not, that same thought has crossed my mind too. There's also a couple of others I wouldn't mind meeting. But same problem, too far away.

Hey, if wine or anything with gin in it is available, I'm there, too.
I'll be wearing a t-shirt that says:
Two is one,
One is none.

You mean the aliens aren't going to beam down from Planet Nibiru and turn me into a spirit person???? 😮
Kidding!...lol
Alright, I am coming out of the closet about this... I love the show Ancient Aliens!! There, I said it ... :ugeek:

Hello???

* ...the sound of a lone cricket.....*

... All good points, I would prefer to just meet up with like-minded locals if the opportunity arose. I am not prepping for the aliens to beam down from Planet Nibiru and turn me into a spirit person- but I am prepping for economic collapse, natural disasters ( earthquake, CME, tsunami variety) and lately, feeling a little uneasy about my American cousins waving their war flag...
