Looking for info on alternative antibiotics vet, and fish antibiotics for example re safety, efficacy, dosage, and availability.

By all accounts, "fish" antibiotics are the exact same as the ones you'd be prescribed. Evidently, they are not regulated by the US FDA nor health Canada (or other agencies). So what permits you to acquire them without prescription has the inconvenience that you forfait quality assurance. As a result, it goes without saying that you're using them at your own risk and that this should be seen as a last resort.
I would suggest you look at the many posts here on IPN that cover the topic. A cursory search of the word "antibiotics " with the search function should reveal a wealth of info.

Hi regar...I just joined this forum today and saw your posting. I am very interested in the medical side of prepping as it seems to be the weakest link in most folks preparations. My dad was a medic in the Army-All of them work well. Remember some folk allergic. Also...watch storage and the expiry dates.

Peppercorn, you may want to look at Petsmart next time you're in the city. Last I checked, the price was quite high, but that is an option. Or ask a friend who may be vacationing in Mexico...

Did you get around to getting some antibiotics? If so from where please. Your post is the most recent I can find. I'm wondering if customs is an issue? Obviously within Canada is better...
