Just been told you need a permit to get a bee hive in Ontario!?! Anyone know why? Population control? Disease control?

bees are dangerous, you might hurt someone with them. . .
i wouldn't be surprised.

i can put 10 rounds in a pistol, 10 rounds in my Lee enfield, only 5 in my SKS but 25 in my 22LR.
because a 22 is only less deadly at a distance, but my pistols can be concealed, and my LE will knock your socks off from a good distance. . . these laws made sense to someone . . . a bullet is dangerous only in a criminal or moron's hand.

but we got rid of the law that says we can't have caffeine is clear pop, but you still can't walk wine over the provincial border. . .

you know,
I saw the Behave and thought you guys had gone to far and Denob had stepped in.. LOL.. Now a BeeHive is another issue

There is a whole Ontario association for Bee Growers, I think I saved the link, will try to find it, they will have all the info there. Thought you only needed a permit if it was in the city limits though.

I think there is a link on FarmGals blog, if not one of her followers is a Bee Person, family biz.

definatly need a permit, dosen't matter if your inside the city limits or not...left a message today with the permit guy in Guelph...hopefully he gets back soon and i can get a hive in. you can't buy queens or nucs without the permit.

as for denob, he told me he only steps in if someone complains about a thread, he effectivley lets other people judge what he police's...thats why he jumped in and closed the dead hooker thread, someone complained....
