Well theres a ton of timmies between here and there maybe we need some informal meets around the city 🙂 might make things a little easier
Soooo it's getting warmer out! Things are still on a downward spiral as far as the economy/ everything else is concerned. Who wants to meet up in the next month? And whenever you want to grab a coffee dvnt just let me know 🙂
I would but I only have evenings or 3 out of the 4 Sat. next month. Sundays are now out for me

I've recently been talking to JAB, had an idea for bug out/go bag review. We bring our go bags and see what's what and make recommendations and discussions in regards to contents etc. Even if you don't have a bug out bag yet (i'm just in the process of putting together my first one) this would be good.
JAB has thought having it a little more west, say in my area to accomodate anyone to the west, London etc.
There's a nice park out in burford, the Burford Lions park. It's quiet and it has a lot of space and a covered pavillion, maybe that if no one minds driving to Burford?

Hey Redneck.... Burford works for me. Do they have fireplaces or grills set up? We could bring some briquets and do a little bbq ... thoughts?
JAB
If they allow fires and cooking,
why do a Rocket Stove and improvised stove, then cook on them?
Buford is a little closer, so I could probably make that let me know when.
As long as I have directions I'm game for wherever. And bringing bug out bags is a great idea. I will bring mine and food if we can cook stuff up whenever this ends up happening. 🙂
I would imagine they do allow fires and stuff, there are boy scout camping trips there in the spring and summer all the time. I'll check it out though and let you guys know.
The address is 78 Maple Ave North, Burford ON for those with a GPS.
For those without, probably the easiest way to get there is to get off the 403 onto Rest Acres Road, turn left until you get to Colborne st, go right on Colborne st (becomes King st. through Burford), make a right onto Maple ave (I believe it's the first set of lights in Burford. Turn right at the convenience store). It's just down the road on the right hand side.

Hello all and sorry for being so quiet here. The idea of another get together has been floated at Burford. How does April 20 sound? It will be a show and tell regarding bug out bags. Don't feel you have to have a total kit. A work in progress is good too. Please indicate who will be coming. Looking forward to it.
JAB
I can't do the 20th unfortunately. Going to see the gfs parents up in markham that weekend. Will keep you posted if anything changes.
