Across the world things are heating up between Israel and Iran. There may well be an armed confrontation in the not too distant future. At the very least this would threaten the stability of the world's oil supply. Today the UK newspaper The Telegraph included an article that had a very provocative headline:
"Armada of international naval power massing in the Gulf as Israel prepares an Iran strike"
Actually the gathering naval power is there for a "naval exercise". True there may be ulterior motives but headlines like this inflame the situation and frighten the populous. Here is the link to the article:

Just got here. I float on every 30 min or so at night. No TV so I read a lot.
That is a site where there are plenty of "End times" predictions that obviously failed. Nobody knows.
I read in the news that if Iran goes to war with Israel, Iran said that they were going to bomb US Army Bases.
all my friends think nothing will happen, but i believe that there will be a big war soon.

Iran won't back down and Israel will not allow Iran to attain nuclear capability. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see where this is headed. If Iran is attacked, or perceives that it is attacked, it will strike back and probably will attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz. A whopping 40% of the worlds tanker-borne oil passes through this waterway which at its narrowest is only 21 miles (39Km). This makes particularly oil tankers an easy target. Drop a few mines with a fast boat and you might get lucky, without even any direct confrontation. The situation is powder keg to which the fuse has long been lit. Now it's just a matter of time to the explosion.

That is exactly how I see things as well. Also Netanyahu is just itching to hit Iran. Obama can say what he wants but if Israel strikes, the US is in it no matter what is getting said in the media and Netanyahu knows it. I will not be surprised to see it happen before the end of the year. Things are deteriorating in all directions over there.

Tried to read your blog post but just got some of your member info.
I don't know what is in it but, people should have been able to see this coming if they were paying attention, but most are not. Most of our population now is post WW II and the collective memory of those times is virtually gone, except for history books. Most Canadians have lived their entire lives with no personal exposure to war or even hard economic times................... well they are all in for a really rude awakening. There are also a lot that are in the denial stage, where they have actually seen and read enough info to have a better understanding of where things are heading, but they do not want to believe it. They have ostrich syndrome.
Mainstream media is finally starting to get the picture and report things, so even the 'I don't want to believe it' types are having trouble avoiding the information.
Things are going to get really ugly. Better can a few more tomatoes. 😉
