A get together in Edmonton

Our last meet was successful as we could chat for a couple of hours despite the low turnout.

A Timmies may not be the best venue for 6 folks (hoping for a 100% increase!), to sit for a couple of hours. A park area might indeed allow for a larger group to discuss freely for a few hours. With that in mind, maybe a park can be chosen based on where people are coming from. If most people are coming from the east side again, maybe Rundle Park might be a suitable location? Personally, I'm not too inclined to downtown unless there's a huge interest for it as it adds another 30-45 mins drive.

Helicopilot I was just trying to get another meet going. I'm with you on Rundle park. And yes i understand on the Timmies issue. I was using that as a possibility. Seems the Calgary guys get away with it. I'm up for most places. Just need 40 acres to park my pickup lol..

Soo with this info in hand.. Would we want a meet before school starts or will that matter? For me it makes no difference..

Calgary group never did a tummies meetup. Last one was at a community Center, but we had the numbers to justify it. Other previous ones were in parking lots or campgrounds.

We did try for a timmies once (in cochrane) but quickly realized that we had to move to the park down the block. I think that was our 2nd or 3rd meeting? Even the Tim's parking lot was too full for the dozen or so peeps to park as it was on a Saturday. Avoid the Tim's but have one close by 😀

Just a reminder.. Wed. 6pm Rundle park. I will head up there to find a spot and report back.

Okay. found a better place but real close to rundle park.. Off the Yellow head go north on Victoria trail.Then east on Hermitage RD, Then North on Hermitage Park RD. There is a covered area incase its hot and sunny or rainy... I will have my Orange cooler with me on a table.. Its a old metal one with a white lid. My Long box quad cab dually will be there also...

Well, it's gonna be a beautiful day... hopefully a few people will show up!
I completely forgot about a 2:00 dentist appointment, which means I will have lots of time to get there, as I do not plan on going back to work after that. On the off chance that I am in too much pain and it dictates that I go home and rest, I sincerely apologize in advance... however, seeing that I could beat all the rush hour traffic and get there early and relax in the sun, right now I am aiming to be there, and am really looking forward to it!

I bust my a** driving for an hour and a half through rush hour traffic, with a stalled semi on the yellowhead.... so I take a detour, get lost, end up at kuhlman's, finally find the 'canopied' picnic area and NOBODY is there? And all this after a 3 hour root canal, and 2 T3's in me?
