Had some snow the last couple days...been waiting for this....my favorite time...straight into the bush I go...where there is not a light or person to be seen or heard.. no BOB, no flashlight no cell phone, just my wits - 30 tonight so I will leave the dogs behind. 9pm to 3am is the best time....Am I the only one whos been waiting for this??

Preparedness is like a condom , I've rather have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it

Are you still alive? If so, how did it go? As well as you planned? You are not the only one who likes to do things like that. Mind you I would have taken my BOB, but -30 wouldn't deter me!

I like to do this as well but my fav time is when it's raining buckets and I have to admit I do bring my BOB as my security blanket...Good on ya though...

I agree with the lack of snow happening. I live in the snow belt in the far north western Ontario where we should be have 30+ inches by now. We presently have 12" of packed snow and none likely in the near forecast as this last week has been -43 below at night and -25 to -30 in daytime. If we don't get alot soon , many are expecting a forest fire summer ahead. None can remember a winter with so little snow in the past 50 years anyways. Seems I can't blame global warming this week anyways... 😆
