Does anyone know what changes the Conservative party has planned for the Seeds Act under Bill C-38? I wonder if they're going to state something regarding "no saving seeds year after year". If you hear anything or find anything, please share it!

I think they are taking the job of inspecting seed crops away from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and giving it to the ''private sector'' to do.

Hmmmm....
What good that will do...all the high political bureaucrats are probably behind many of the companies in the private sector and will benefit by pushing that change for financial gain just like what happens in to our neighbors south of the border.

Division 26 of Part 4 amends the Seeds Act to give the President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency the power to issue licences to persons authorizing them to perform activities related to controlling or assuring the quality of seeds or seed crops.

Whatever that means
