Should start a thread for that day only. Just let the chatter and banter go rampant. It is whether we like it or not a major day for many people. Keep it going like a chat room.

Why don't we all just go to the much underused chatroom...

are we more vulnerable to CME/solar flares on Dec 21st? Just wondering as the Earth is closer to the sun on this day than any other in the year.

The Earth is closest to the sun on January 2nd 2013 at 5 Universal Time (UT). That translates to 12:00pm January 1st EST. However I do not think the reduced distance to the Sun would not make much of a difference for a CME.

So i guess this means there'll be no discussion on what the princess says about the great library in the center of the earth?! 😯

We all believe in it. Maybe not on that day, but we all believe or we would not be on this site

I know I'm blunt and to the point. A CME like the horses, it's Win, place or show or in this case: Dead(1859), winged(1989), and near miss (every other month). 😈

The human race has a very poor track record when it comes down to believing in the unknown..
I wouldn't say I believe in it, but there are to many coincidences with similar stories being told by no less then 5 different ancient societies..
And with the Hoppies and there prophecies, and other so called prophets being very accurate with predictions, I think it would be very foolish to totally ignore the info at hand...And as it was said, we all believe a little bit or we wouldn't be here talking and sharing our knowledge...
And if nothing happens we can look in the mirror DEC 22nd , Laugh and say { " you silly bugger what were you thinking."}

Until the next prediction comes along that all must worry about. There is a prediction for everything, eventually one hits.

I predict a 10.0 earthquake sometime in the next 300 years.

Not worried about it at all, but there are some very interesting predictions and prophecies...
