I don't recall if I brought our doberman to the s.alberta meetings when you were there or not? If you want information on Doberman's we can bring you where we get her nails done and there are often a large number in the pack in the backyard. She does not breed anymore but she babysits dobermans constantly and there is an additional stream of dobermans arriving on Sunday afternoon to get their nails done. She may be able to point you to a reputable breeder or we can give you the name of ours but they are east of Edmonton.
Be wary of the term "King Doberman" it is a myth perpetrated by back-yard breeders who want to sell aggressive dogs of questionable background. It seems like a common term more in america where big is always better.

some of the dobie's we see on Sunday are VERY large... ours is lucky to be 50lbs. People still cross the street when we are walking her as is is not simply the size that scares people away (toy dogs are not real dogs, they are food; and are therefore exempt from this theory).
