I'd love to attend BUT unless I get that surplus Harriet bought with my hopeful lottery winnings (unless those damn yankees got them all... http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-11-24/u-k-sells-harrier-planes-to-u-s-sees-1-billion-pound-savings.html ) I doubt I'll get there due to time and distance. All the same, perhaps some in the know can share information with us 'less than experts' at some meeting in the future.

Geo Caching might be a good excuse for some members to meet up as well. Even in a grid down (non EMP/CME) situation I would be inclined to think the military (way the hell more important than us mere civilians) would declare GPS essential.

Just my two bits...

Than= I’d rather be rich than poor.
Then= I first became hungry then I ate.
There = She is there now.
Their = They have their things.
They're = They're going to the mall.
To = They came to the house.
Too = That's too bad.

Too far south for me; maybe something similar will turn up in my neck of the woods...

Thanks for the heads up.. I called and left a message. Will try again, next week. One of the many skills, that may come in very handy.

NorthernCX,

In your neck of the woods you have both a SAR unit and a patrol with the Canadian Ranger Patrol Group. Both groups are skilled in land navigation, and may from time-to-time put on training or better yet; they may be recruiting new members. An excellent source of training and experience.

All the best,

Mountainman.
