There is a movie I think it is an indie type. It is called "The Divide" It is about a group of people trying to survive a post apocalypse and things start to happen. It touches on alot of trust issues that we will encounter if SHTF happens and you have to bug in a shelter with a bunch of people.

If it's indie, how will I find it on Netflix?

You can find it on veehd.com if you search for it with quotation marks. Not sure how legal that all is, just saying. Just register with the site and you can stream it.

Me too. Did you watch it? What did you think?
That was pretty good. Not too realistic on a few accounts, but for suspense and drama it was great. My heart was beating out of my chest in a couple scenes, but I'm wimpy like that. Might be a little gorey for some. Good acting and lLove Michael Biehn too. And it was filmed in Manitoba ... wooo!

the main thing I wanted to get across is, when people are couped up like that and food and water is low, we are all capable of becoming monsters like them unless we all share and fight for the same cause.

I don't think it was Canadian, just filmed here. The acting was great, IMO. Had Michael Biehn of "The Abyss" and Rosanna Arquette.

I went out an rented both of those movies tonight (collapsed and divide) they were both awful! I never did understand what had happened in collapsed and what took over, they did everything wrong and I will just have nightmares now...the divide was the terror porn someone mentioned...I can not imagine that scenerio or how crazy people got...lone wolf looks really good after watching that...I would not want to live.

I watched it, not a bad movie for an indy film. I suggest watching the show "the colony" if you can find it. You can download both seasons from thepiratebay.se. Its a little bit over the top sometimes, but there are a lot of useful ideas and handywork techniques that can be learned from it.

The show in a nutshell is a mock shtf scenario where a group of survivors has turn survive for 60 days in a certain area, forage for goods, fend off marauders, etc. Done in a reality tv format. I enjoyed it. Wish they would bring it back for a 3rd season lol.

See you all after.

Hey I said "The Collapsed" was terrible. The Divide was decent for the first hour and then got wierd.

I hate it when people get this Stockholm syndrome thing. With Rosanna Arquette in there it was a 50/50 chance of sexual activity.

lol ...I know you said that...and you were right! I understood the whole Rosanna thing about getting in with the head guy of the group for protection...though really I think those 2 men should have been thrown out the door at the beginning of the movie...that door was opened a few times, throw them out...and the guy who first took on the guy they were all imposing on rightly got taken out by him...I don't understand why the girl torched the place and left instead of the 3 of them going together

If you are looking for a movie that fts our subject matter, is entertaining and you might learn something from...
DEFIANCE ; starring Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber.
Based on a true story.

The Day After ; Starring Jason Robards is a T.V. movie from 1983 that is available on Netflix and YouTube.

Hmmm, maybe I should rethink the quiet part...
