It was upsetting to have looked forward to this for such a long while, only to find nobody at the meeting area, but this would be classified under the "unavoidable and unforeseen"....I hope your accident did not cause any injury, magic fella... SH*T 😯 HAPPENS...(even BEFORE it hits the fan!)...but....but....but....shouldn't there have been a BACKUP PLAN??!...

Does it count that I blew out my appendics a few days ago and wasn't in any condition to go anywhere? It's great if you're on a diet though, I've lost ten pounds in the last week. Otherwise, it sucks.

And I had never indicated that I was coming in as we have a houseful of guests from Australia for my daughter's wedding, so couldn't have made it in any event. I specifically stayed out of the discussions for the meeting since I knew about the visitors since early August. I have only briefly visited the board for the last month or so while getting ready for the visitors.

I hope you're on the mend...apple sauce can get a little boring... 🙄 I've been on 4 weeks of 'fluids only' myself after major surgery, and have just graduated to mush...so i can totally relate.....the weight loss is awesome though! 😀

...In light of the fact that our sole contact point for this meeting was obviously detained for reasons out of his control, it was virtually impossible for anyone to meet, unless they knew each other previously. I was REALLY REALLY looking forward to meeting everyone, and my comments stem from the disappointment and frustration with a lack of communication, and ultimately, planning. It is certainly not directed towards any one person in particular...I am just as much to blame. Not one person said anything whatsoever about the meeting one way or the other... Not before, or even after magic fella posted his apologies and unfortunate news...i would have thought he at least deserved a little compassion for his troubles...One of my biggest pet peeves in life is that most people never speak up....whether it be for an injustice towards another, or for our rights and freedoms, that are going to slowly be taken away... http://youtu.be/uqG8sXgcruY

the south group is doing well with our meetings. it is nice to put faces to the names of people you talk to on the board. dont be disheartened by one error of miscommunication. set another date, and maybe have 2 or three people as designated "rally vehicles" in case one isnt able to make it. even if its a group of 4 or 5, im sure that with time that will grow. I only attended the last south meeting, and was amazed at how many people showed. I cant imagine that many were at the first meeting!
hope our north group gets things in order. Perhaps later on down the road there can be a north/south network established.

Morning; congrats on the growing family
Deleau; our first southern meeting had 6 people and 4 of us circled the parking lot until we were sure it was all clear 😳
On the second meeting, we had to move because the parking lot was too full, but we hadn't thought to set up a back-up plan. The stragglers didn't know where the first group was but ended up having a smaller meeting of their own. Shit happens so don't worry and keep on those northerners.
Magic; perfect time to buy a diesel 4x4 that's pre-19 whatever it needs to be 😈
I was actually thinking about driving up to Edmonton for a weekend getaway but we ended up taking far longer working in the backyard on our week off. Maybe next time.
