And so it begins.....my tools had been acquired over a couple decades and were all bought new.... now though they will likely be replaced by used ones if the price is right. first up ,From the restore 85 dollars, a bench grinder mounted to a steel base. Tested it before I bought it and its in great shape. It couldn't have seen much use, it has the original grinding wheels on it that it left the factory with in 1989. In my judgment this motor has maybe 4 to 6 hrs run time on it tops, its a Industrial quality unit. These are well built, and what a lot of people don't know about these Baldor grinders is even though the name plate says 115 volts only, if you open up the base the motor taps are there so you could run this unit on 240 if you wanted to, and this unit would run off a mod sign inverter no problem...like most do

I think these retail somewhere around 600 + canadian

Tools....more valuable than gold

Great score on the grinder! I'm surprised it made it out of the backroom.

I was lucky on this one...right place right time. I will need more luck, I will be watching Kijiji for good deals, hitting auctions, and stopping in at the restores when I am in the cities.

So I am hauling some of my burnt up equipment out and its looking like I will have enough scrap metal for a couple trailer loads. I will run these to the scrap metal yard starting tomorrow. Now the scrap metal yard is like Disney land for adults (adult gear heads). If you are a diy..er and have never been in one to see whats available PM me and if you have a couple hrs to kill you can follow me to one and get a inside tour like no other..(may be going everyday this week, finding more junk to haul)
