Hello all,
I am looking for an Edmonton supplier for Powdered Butter and Powdered Eggs? I have tried all the usuals (i think), Superstore, Bulk Barn, Major Grocery chains... does anyone know where I can find some?
Thanks,
JG
Hi, you might want to check Mountain Equipment Coop, Cabelas and Wholesale Sports for their supplies of eggs. I haven't seen powdered butter anywhere in town, but it is available through the Thrive branding. You could check with Generations Bookstore on the Southside and see if they can bring in the butter rather than shipping it out of Utah. Good luck!
Sorry that this isn't local but we're going to be ordering some through Briden Solutions (calgary business but products are out of Utah LDS if I understand correctly).

You have to scroll through the whole page to find the butter, eggs were at the top.
We've had dealings with Briden and the non-dairy/non-meat that they are allowed to sell direct and like to stick with who I can trust.
There is a thread somewhere that describes the "Thrive" network and consultants in Canada. If I knew how to narrow the search down I'd locate it for you as Briden presented a fair explanation I felt.
I believe there are some home parties for Thrive going on in Edmonton these days, but the products are ordered at the party or through Briden, in case of in Lethbridge, etc. and are delivered to your door directly from Utah. If you are trying to buy the products locally and just want to pick them up that is going to be tough as even the Provident Living/Bishop's Storehouse in Sherwood Park doesn't bring in the Thrive products but are a great location for the mylar storage bags and oxygen absorbers as well as having some items available for pickup (you need to call first) and they will actually help you with canning into the metal canning containers as opposed to glass jars. I located one of the powdered egg products at MEC http://www.mec.ca/AST/ShopMEC/HikingCamping/Food.jsp
They also have some of the egg/breakfast combinations which you can pick up at Totem Outfitters, Cabela's, Wholesale Sports and of course MEC. We have used them on motorcycle trips and they are actually not too bad. Not as great as fresh eggs but they definitely do work.

It is cheaper to make your own powdered eggs...scramble and dehydrate them (in a oven if you don't have a dehydrator) then grind them into a powder with a coffee grinder and store them.
Bulk Foods have powdered eggs, sometimes you have to ask them for it, or if they could order some for you. They only carry products that move quickly sometimes. Follow this link.

Thrive products are now in Canada, they are a freeze dried gourmet quality food. If you don't mind check out my website (OK, it is a shameless plug.) The eggs, milk, and cheese are first rate.
You can also buy some of these products at Costco.ca

I'm looking at starting up a business with Thrive and I will be based out of Edmonton/Lloydminster and area. Just seeking some interest first so I know if I have anyone to sell to.
