I use to have a set of books called Foxfire, and within it were stories of people who had lived though the last part of the 1800 and early 1900. When I was young and foolish and afraid of what the future was to bring. I bought almost every foxfire book that I could find. That was in the early 70's, my now ex-wife thought the were foolish junk and sold them at lawn sale while I was on a military exercise. One of the reasons she's an ex-wife.:twisted:

If you do some cruising on the Net you should be able to find most of them in PDF form for no cost. There are at least 15 volumes I think. Good hunting.

Yes thank you, but I still miss the real thing. Its sad that wives think that its OK when they throw out something of their husbands, but throw out something of theirs, "How could you, that was mine , what gives you the right..........." 👿

It's a great question because it's far more likely that the S will never hit the fan.
I think the governments of today are too well equipped to let SHTF for long or even at all. Martial law, quickly deal with any troublemakers with their amazing communication, surveillance and response capabilities. Never let a crisis go to waste though, increase your power over the increasingly dependent population at every opportunity. Then it's back to the slow grind of increasing inflation and the slow squeeze of your ability to maintain your standard of living.
Your stash will eventually run out, you have to be able to produce most of your daily needs for the long term.
Prepare to provide and fend for yourself to maintain your independence and to prosper in the coming times.

I'm going to be the Devils advocate on this one. We the people, have been overpopulating, over using and abusing the resources on this planet for so long that we have come to the edge of the Abyss. We can no longer produce more food that we have, can not pump out and produce any greater than the current need. We have surpassed the supply and demand, for the demand is now greater than the supply. If you follow the agenda of the NWO, the upper governing bodies are hoping for a downfall and are in the position to give it a nudge. They are hoping for TEOTWAWKI, THEY ARE COUNTING ON IT. according to the buzz on the web, the DUMB, (Deep Underground Military Bases) are ready to be occupied with the Elite, They are counting on a 60-80% death rate, with enough peon left over to run the farms and factories. So will the S HTF, It may have already started. 😈

Thank you Ranger for saving me a lot of typing...

Than= I’d rather be rich than poor.
Then= I first became hungry then I ate.
There = She is there now.
Their = They have their things.
They're = They're going to the mall.
To = They came to the house.
Too = That's too bad.

I heard just a few days ago that 40% of the food produced in the US is thrown away. Whether it has gone past it's expiry date in the truck, store or at home, uneaten prepared food or left to rot in the field. Stupid regulation, subsidized farming practices, dumbed down consumers all contribute to waste. Starving folks would be happy to tap that supply.
You are right that supply has come to equal demand but there's still a lot of wiggle room with some intelligent leadership. Not that I have any confidence there.

As for the NWO - I don't attribute to malice that which can be easily explained by incompetence.

In the big picture I think you nailed it. We as humans, despite our intelligence and our great advancements we still have flaws. I think we are starting to see that in the global financial system on a macrol scale. Even the current corporate system it is flawed at the very foundation - How can a growth/consumption model constantly thrive on a finite planet - The same can be said for our global finances, but that's another topic. Overall it's just short term thinkers looking for $$$ at the expence of everyone else (study money who, what, where etc etc... ;)) There in lies the human flaw. So it's not a matter if, it's more of a question when. We are just seeing history repeating itself once more. Even if there's NWO plot it to will be flawed because of human nature. :ugeek:

I never thought costco shelving could be so amazing
