What will happen if nothing happens on the 21? Alot of people and cultures are almost depending on something.

I for one don't expect anything to happen on the 21st. This whole end of the world doom and gloom on a given date business (and I have no doubt that to some people promoting the end of the world is indeed a 'business') reminds me of the 'Moses David' (prophets collecting profits?) end of the world warning in the spring of 1975. The Moses David movement predicted the end right down to the minute. 630 CHED (Edmonton's top 40 station at that time) actually did an on air countdown mocking the prediction.

As for what I will be doing on the 21st, I will look forward to more daylight each day following the 21st until late June. I'm sure some opportunistic 'business types' (I prefer to call them scam artists) will be counting profits made by promoting the scare and planning their next 'end of the world' promotion.

But what the heck do I know?

Than= I’d rather be rich than poor.
Then= I first became hungry then I ate.
There = She is there now.
Their = They have their things.
They're = They're going to the mall.
To = They came to the house.
Too = That's too bad.

NOTHING will happen 🙂 I'll be at a very goofy "end of the world" party in my neighbourhood, you have to have some humour in your life

I doubt anything large will happen but there have been a lot of posts about people committing suicide. 🙁

To those that look towards the date as something for a possitive change, I hope they will not be disappointed.

Any positive change will come from you... the individual. Look at YOUR world.... YOUR life and what you would and CAN do differently or better. Waiting for the "system" to change or make it better will be a fruitless exercise. The system is doing what it sees to be in it's best interest and will continue to do so. Prepping is about taking responsibility for yourself. Do it.

I think what "they" arnt telling us is that if the conquistadors had not invaded and killed off the mayans, they would have had more time to make a longer calender!

See you all after.

No need to worry, nothing will happen. After all the Mayans could not foresee their demise what would make anyone think that they could see ours? Either way we are preppers and ready for anything, anytime. 😀

I liked reading the "articles" on Survival Podcast. His #1 survival tenet is "Everything You Do Should Improve your position in life EVEN if nothing goes wrong"

The only real fear that I have is that the big yellow ball up in the sky is going to sneeze our way. 😯

Some people fear that nothing will happen, and their bills will still be there next year. 👿

Business as usual. Set a new date, book more tours, sell more goods. Just like all the other predicted doomsday events, so far none were right. I won't copy and paste this list because it's too long to do that, but here's a link to a list of predicted doomsdays. Clearly this is big business for someone.

If your home library contains more volumes about survival-related topics than your local public library, you might be a prepper.

So the next question should be once 21/12/12 has passed (and it will), what will be the next date chosen by those who pretend to know for the great apocalypse?

Saying nothing will happen is just another prediction. To many times that has killed many. I have no idea what to think about it all. We are due for a major over turn that i know. But for as of how and when that is unknown. Our history is made up events just like this. Most of it did not have a set date till after it happened. I think we all know its coming, just dont know when.

Most of us don't prep for one specific event, especially something as far-fetched as another silly end of the world prediction.
