I would try one of the dollar stores or one of the shoe store outlets (Payless or something like it).

You might try this link if you are interested in a US-spec radio

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=gmrs+radio&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=

Transmission on 5 watts requires a license in the US, and may exceed Canadian standards. However, in the case of a genuine (life-threatening) emergency, most radio regulations are waived.

So if you check the link, which one would you buy; money no object? I have a set of Motorola that I like just fine, but things have changed a bit since I bought them. Want to get 2 more sets.

This would be my choice. Reasons?...
1: Waterproof
2: Works with the rechargeable or AA batteries
3: VOX

I got my food grade buckets (square 16L buckets) from Dairy Queen for free. (I just asked politely and received 6 washed buckets) They were used for strawberry topping originally. I have a friend who knows someone who works at Tim Hortons and scammed a few buckets that way as well. They stack nice and use less space in a storage area for the same volume of contents especially if the stored good are in a box to start with.

Wool socks!

I found 100% wool socks at a Peavy Mart at $9.99 per pair. There were others (heavier) 80% or 85% wool for $12.99 and $14.99 per pair. Sorry to say no lamb chops were included.

Hi C.B.L.A. I use Briden Solutions Bay #3 104 Railway Street West Cochrane Alberta T4C 2B5 I purchase buckets, lids, mylar bags, oxigen absorbers and some times I purchase wheat from them in 6 gallon pails. I dont think they are cheap but the quality is good and they sell organic products. I have in the past purchased grains that have been treated with chemicals for planting but sold to me as food. I will tell you after you have eaten bread that you have just baked fresh with treated wheat, do not stray to far from a bath room for at least the next 12 hours. 😆

Do you know who sells grains that are not organic? I am wanting to buy hard white wheat, but not pay huge amounts for organic. I know LDS sells white wheat, but so far in Canada they only sell it in #10 cans, though their order form says otherwise. If they had 25 lb bags of hard white wheat I would definitely buy from them as they are the cheapest. Thanks

mercy6 . I have an Alberta source for hard white wheat in 50 pound bags for $53.38. If you buy over $100.00 worth they provide free shipping. It is however, organic. Send me a pm if you are interested.
