I'm testing out my steam setup and need more hands on info. My boiler is done and im now ready to build the power/piston part of the unit. The local modle train groups have been alot of help but if anyone has some info or pointers im always interested. My boiler has good steam output and I use the extra heat for a hot water heating system I also built. With the size of my boiler im only looking to run a small alt/gen to charge batterys if possible. I tossed some pictures up of the boiler when i was building and testing it.

Hope ppl find it interesting
Tested the boiler pressure tank to 120PSI / Since these pictures I also installed safty lines and blowoffs.

Anyone looking at getting into steam drop me an email.
Stay safe steam can be very dangerous.

Amazing. Do you have info and diagrams that you could share? I'm not in a place to build one but would love to see how it is done. Kudos to your ingenuity and dedication.

Remember the gasifier, and all that heat that it needs to get rid of...Well.

I agree. Diagrams would be great. I'm actually building a smaller version from a used 2 stroke motor connected to a pressure canner. I could post pics/videos if anyone is interested.

Please post all the info and information you have. Pictures would be wonderful too. I find this all facinating and would be quite beneficial to know in the long term. OF COURSE... there would be no liability assumed IE a FULL disclaimer... if copying this led to any negative outcomes... Simply... we read.. we try it at our own risk.
