Anyone thought about using zero point energy or radient energy devices for another power source the best thing about them is you don't need fuel, solar panels, or wind generators

I will get on that when I figure out how to harness dark matter. Not being a smart ass, but if you know how to get zero point energy please share.

OK - take pity on an old fella - What the hell is that?????
( I am the one that p_ _ _ es mobile phone salespeople off by saying "I only want a phone that makes and takes calls - none of that other cr_p!!!)

I'm old, tired and crotchety - what's your excuse???

Well it is a good source of energy for Atlantis, in Stargate Atlantis but then that is fiction. Unfortunately at this point so is zero point energy. Theoretically it is possible so is time travel. However you are unlikely to see either in your lifetime. Maybe concentrate on cold fusion. May be closer on this one but again many years away from the operational experiments.

Ok guys were all friends here there's no one a smart you know what zero point energy is yes dark matter and harnessing a singularity but it is also something simple like zero point magnetic energy to which is basically a alternator powered by magnets and radient energy is basically harnessing energy from thing air if you look it up type just radient energy device I'm doing physics in school so we do a lot of stuff like this my pet project is a zero point magnetic generator that looks like the naquadah generator on Atlantis but uses magnets its works I'm building my main proto type now my first on was the size of a alternator and powered itself none stop so If alternative energy is something your interested in these are way better and save space then solar or wind they say in class that we are only using 2 percent of the power from the sun and wind

The device you are describing uses the magnetic fields of the static magnets for motive force. It is not a perpertual motion machine. Once the magnetic field degenerates the movement stops. Sorry.

Oh and ICRC time travel is possible there's nothing einsteins theory that says its not the only problem is you need as much power as the sun to do it but for all u stargate fans or a nice delorion or a worm hole to open the same time as a solar flair

I've seen a lot of these magnetic generators on the internet, and they do in fact run for a very very very long time. However, none of them were demonstrated with any kind of load and certainly not the kind of load that the average household would draw. If you are building one in school, I would love to see how it performs while actually providing electricity to something...and more than just a light bulb.

Hey I wasn't having a go at anybody - just seriously had no idea..
I like things to be basic - even explenations.
I always try to keep it simple for people to understand so I need a simple explanation - preferably the simpler the better.
I do hope ICRCC wasn't offended - I am sure he has judged my character in the time and posts we have read of each others to know there is no malice intended.

Wasn't the Japanese toying/trialing a magnetic propulsion system for there metro sevice some years back???
Does any one know if it is still work in progress or was scrapped.

You need to read my post again I said it was theoretically possible.

OK folks, let's get off the time travel thing.
I think this is an important topic.
Personally, I think these machines are nothing more than a curiosity.
As I mentioned earlier, I have never seen one perform with an actual load.
If you do build a prototype that could be at least scaled up to something that could power a home, then I would not only stand corrected, but be interested in one myself.

ICRC what in our history says that if someone wants something to work and can figure out how and can show how people will always say it can't be done because the Internet says so or someone who hasn't tried it but what there not taking into account is that if you turn the main magnet on a say 5 degree angle it's enough to keep it moving but think of it like a alternator and a casing around it all with a magnet to move every thing together but doesn't ever stop please understand I'm not trying to upset anyone just saying that there's other options for power as a society we are only limited by the limits we place on our selves
