Hi everyone, I just joined this network and been catching up on all of the discussions. It'll be great to meet other fellow preppers and get an idea on what people are doing locally. My family and I moved here from the US about 7 years ago and we've been preppers since 2008 but have found very few people in our surrounding community and circle of friends that take FSW (Food, Supplies, Weaponry) planning seriously. Look forward to it.!

Hi all! Alright, so like Arturo I am new to the forum, and as a matter of fact new to prepping, though I've always had the mindset. I live on the Sunshine Coast, so it wouldn't be too hard to make it to some meets I hope. Anyplace I should post an intro or just try and show up for the meet? 🙂

Hey Jeff. I wanted to be at the last meetup. Unfourtanately with the wife working every other Saturday, and currently being restricted to public transportation, I wasnt able to make it. The busses out to Aldergrove are horrible. Unfourtanately the wife is working on the 10th as well. But I am going to TRY to make it. It depends on whether or not I can get a babysitter and work out my transportation. These meetings look very interesting and you all seem like the type of ppl I want to associate myself with. So I really do hope Im able to make it.
That being said I would like to take a moment to invite anyone who is in the Langley/Aldergrove area, or who is willing to travel here, who may have some of the same type of commitments that I have that make it difficult to get to Poco, to get ahold of me either on the forum or in private message so we can arrange to meet for coffee, or a beer. I dont require a lot of notice, its only a matter of whether or not I can get away from the kids for an hour or two. I work during the day. As Im sure most of you do. So yeah, again I will try my best to jete to this June 10th meet but in the meantime if ANYONE is interested in meeting in the Langley/Aldergrove area feel free to let me know.

I had previous engagements but I'm going to see what I can do to shorten or cancel one of them to try to make it to this meeting. So watch for an old gal with very short grey hair wearing a patchwork style denim jacket and I'll look for the camo jacket. If you see me before I see you call me over. Thanks. 🙂

I had to leave before the subject of next meeting came up so I don't know if that was discussed at the end of the meeting.
It was a good fellowship meeting, I'm very glad I went and it was a real pleasure to meet the people who showed up, I'm sorry I had to leave when I did. Thanks guys for being so welcoming and open, and I'm looking forward to the next meeting. (Hopefully without the karaoke crowd towards the end - that sudden and unexpected karaoke was a little loud and distracting and took us all by surprise !!) 😮 😆
